We were able to realise a preliminary project for a bitumen rewinding machine. Until now, the bitumen strands were rolled up on a turntable, with a lot of manual work for threading the strand, starting and stopping the turntable and removing the roll. Now the cut strands should be rolled up, the finished rolls transferred to the conveyer belt and conveyed directly into the packaging cartons. This enables a massive increase in capacity with the same manual effort. The test setup in our office was a lot of fun!
