Reinventing the wheel: This meat grinder was developed from scratch. The motor and the entire drive train up to the blade were redesigned and tested with a specially developed motor test bench until the desired balance between performance, noise development, feed behavior and cutting pattern could be achieved. For this purpose, over 50kg of meat were processed in the test room and all data evaluated. Subsequently, the gearbox assembly was redesigned for series production and integrated into a sleek design. The project was accompanied by the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) phase with optimization of the production line including test fixtures for QA.
