Mechanical development of a two-part grinding machine with locomotive and grinding unit: This grinding train was designed and developed from scratch. Many novel concepts were used: hydraulic track width adjustment, grinding cell with additional degrees of freedom, cyclone vacuum cleaner with up to 40HP, road driving unit with forklift wheels, etc. The complete 3D model was built with Inventor in one year and calculated for strength with Ansys. In another year, 4tec accompanied the construction of the machine up to commissioning. The hydraulics, the control and the manufacturing was done by Autech.
